Grand opening of Koas Seaside Grill | News, Sports, Jobs
Koa’s Seaside Grill will present its grand opening Saturday in historic Lahaina town at 839 Front St., in the former Mai Tai Lounge near Kimo’s.
The public is invited to come check it out and enjoy free menu samplings and drinks from 3 to 5:30 p.m.
“We are really excited for everyone to join us for our grand opening celebration,” says General Manager Buff Weaver. “We aim to make Koa’s Seaside Grill a place on the water, where everyone can relax at this incredible Lahaina location, enjoying great food at reasonable prices. The Koa’s team wants all who join us to feel like guests in our homes.”
Koa’s owners are Jerry and Lucy Corson, seasoned restaurateurs at the Gazebo in Napili. Their new venture is now open for breakfast, lunch and dinner from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.
Anyone who dines there on the grand opening Saturday at hours other than the free celebration may note that 10 percent of proceeds from their meal will benefit Maui Prep Scholarship fund.
Besides Gazebo breakfast items such as mac-nut pancakes, fried rice and massive omelettes, lunch is also offered from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. featuring fish and chips, pulled pork and meat loaf sandwiches, oysters on the half shell, steamer clams, and baked brie with fresh fruit.
Catch the sunset at dinner, while choosing from three types of fresh fish, filet mignon, roasted prime rib, seafood pastas, Maui meat loaf, scallops and scampi. Happy hour offers drink and food specials.
