He portrays Joe Leaphorn, who works to solve the mysteries of these crimes with his team, only to uncover unexpected connections.

This Western neo-noir psychological thriller brings Redford back to his roots, as he has been in numerous Western films like Jeremiah Johnson and The Horse Whisper. This series has a 100 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, as Dark Winds has garnered rave reviews for its masterful writing, superb acting, and gripping cinematography. Redford was 82 years old during the filming of this project, as he portrayed a character known for pulling off an incredible heist to outwit the authorities. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, he said, “Never say never, but I pretty well concluded that this would be it for me in terms of acting, and [I’ll] move towards retirement after this ’cause I’ve been doing it since I was 21. I thought, ‘Well, that’s enough."
