What Black Friday MacBook Air deals do we expect in 2023?

With the shiny new Apple M3 chip now official, chances are that we're going to see some serious sales on MacBooks in preparation for the new hardware - especially older (but still no less capable) M1 models. Our key recommendation here would be to keep an eye out for the M1 MacBook Air 13-inch for sale at any price lower than $749.99 / £799; that's the cheapest it's been in previous sales.

That doesn't mean more recent MacBook Air models won't see big discounts too; although it only launched earlier this year, the M2 MacBook Air 15-inch has already enjoyed sale prices at some retailers, so it's pretty much guaranteed to get some sort of reduction for Black Friday - even if it's not as big a discount as we're likely to see on M1 MacBooks.

Meanwhile, the M2 MacBook Air 13-inch will likely see better price drops this Black Friday, with Apple and third-party retailers no doubt eager to clear out stock before M3 models arrive.
